Feel the love…

Last night, Dad was surrounded by family – his wife of nearly 59 years, his children, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, one of his niece’s and various spouses of all of the above. At some point my son Marshall, who rarely expresses much emotion, remarked about how he could feel the love in the room. We often express our love, but those powerful moments where we truly feel it – and see it – give you strength to conquer nearly any challenge.

Dad rested comfortably last night. We know each breath at this point could be his last. But love is in the room and we feel it. And love conquers all.

Thanks for all of the continued prayers and support.

  1. You truly have a loving family that was bread by your mom and dad’s values. That love spills to non-family members as well who have been blessed by being in the presence of your parents. Love and prayers sent every moment of the day for this journey. May Tom join his Heavenly Father in peace knowing what a tremendous impression he has left on the earth and community. Having been through this myself I know the difficulty yet the beauty of the journey for all. What a glorious and wonder God we honor. His means for a beginning and end for all of us has been well planned.

  3. Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
I can feel His mighty power and His grace
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings
I see glory on each face
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
In the midst of His children the Lord said He would be
    It doesn’t take very many
It can be just two or three
And I feel that same sweet spirit that I’ve felt so many times before
Surely I can say I’ve been with the Lord
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
I can feel His mighty power and His grace
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings
I see glory on each face
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
There’s a holy hush around us as His glory fills this place
I’ve touch the hem of His garment
I can almost see His face
And my heart is overflowing with the fullness of His joy
I know without a doubt I’ve been with the Lord
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
I can feel His mighty power and His grace
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings
I see glory on each face
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
Oh surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
